<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle apparatus that promptly detects submergence of a vehicle by preventing deterioration in detection accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The immersible vehicle apparatus includes: a submerged sensor 9 which is formed of a pair of exposed electrodes 10 and 11 which are separated from each other and one of which is grounded, the exposed electrodes 10 and 11 being exposed to the outside of the body of a housing 20; and a capacitor 12 which has a predetermined capacitance, is connected in series with the non-grounded exposed electrode 10 of the submerged sensor 9, and can be applied with a DC voltage at a terminal side not connected with the non-grounded exposed electrode 10. The submergence can be detected on the basis of changes in potential between a capacitor 12 and the submerged sensor 9 which corresponds to a ratio of a capacitance of the capacitor 12 to a capacitance between the exposed electrodes 10 and 11, when the capacitance between the exposed electrodes 10 and 11 increases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
