<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of an image display device capable of optimizing an output signal to each sub pixel and surely increasing luminance.SOLUTION: A driving method of an image display device comprising (A) an image display panel which is formed by arraying pixels in a two-dimensional matrix shape, each pixel being formed by arraying first, second, third and fourth sub pixels in a first direction and (B) a signal processing section for outputting a sub pixel output signal on the basis of a sub pixel input signal regarding each of the pixels includes the steps of: calculating a fourth sub pixel output signal on the basis of a fourth sub pixel control second signal which is calculated from first, second and third sub pixel input signals in a q-th pixel in counting in a second direction and a fourth sub pixel control first signal which is calculated from first, second and third sub pixel input signals in a neighboring pixel neighboring to the q-th pixel in the second direction; and outputting the calculated fourth sub pixel output signal to a fourth sub pixel of the q-th pixel.</p> |
