<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device that includes a rolling bearing that pivotally supports a steering shaft rotatably, is suitable for the steering device in which the upper column and the lower column are slidably fitted in the axial direction and is improved in controllability of the steering wheel in high-speed traveling. <P>SOLUTION: An outer peripheral surface 312 of a female steering shaft 31 is tightened by a cylindrical surface 661 of a bush 6 by the elastic force of an O-ring 64. Therefore, a prescribed frictional force is caused between an outer peripheral surface 312 of the female steering shaft 31 and cylindrical surface 661 of the bush 6, and the controllability of steering wheel 103 in the high-speed running improves. Moreover, vibration of the female steering shaft 31 is absorbed by the O-ring 64, since the O-ring 64 is in a collapsed condition by being pushed to an inner circumferential surface 211 of the first lower column 21, and the vibration of the axle can be prevented from transmitting to the steering wheel 103. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
