Provided are a method and a device for search recommendations, the method whereof comprises: reception of a search term; provision of recommended results on the search results display page, said recommended results comprising images and corresponding explanatory information; when a recommended result is clicked upon by a user, extended descriptive information relating to said result is provided on the search results display page and/or the image corresponding to said result is expanded. By means of providing on the search results display page extended descriptive information relating to a clicked recommended result, the search and recommendation method and device of the embodiments of the present invention increase the amount of information available with respect to recommended results and allow users more fully to understand a recommended result, while expanding images corresponding to recommendations allows users better and more clearly to view such graphics, thus satisfying user requirements and enhancing the user experience.
