Disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention is a method for managing application program icons, comprising: when a movement operation command executed by a user on a target application icon is acquired, displaying on a first preset region of a current display interface at least two option boxes mapped respectively to different desktops; determining a target option box to which the target application icon is moved; displaying on a second preset region of the current display interface the target desktop to which the target option box is mapped; and on the basis of a placement operation command executed by the user on the target application icon, placing the target application icon on a determined position on the target desktop. Correspondingly, a terminal is also disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention. The embodiments of the present invention can be used to implement the direct movement of an application icon to any desktop, and have the characteristics of high efficiency, convenient operation, and high success rate, thus improving the user experience. |
