The purpose of this lightguide aggregate inspection device and inspection method thereof is to quickly and efficiently perform inspections for multiple reaction spots. This inspection device is provided with: a reaction spot array comprising multiple reaction spot array elements having at least one reaction spot; a light receiving element array which has a light-receiving surface on which, corresponding to the reaction spot array elements, multiple light-receiving regions are provided which have at least one light-receiving element and which receive light based on the optical state resulting from reactions at each reaction spot; multiple lightguide paths which are provided corresponding to the reaction spot array elements, each of the lightguide paths having a measurement end which is close to or in contact with, or can move close to or can move into contact with, one reaction spot, and a connection end provided to be close to or in contact with the light-receiving region; a digital data conversion unit which, at a prescribed period, converts, into digital data, image region data obtained from the light-receiving element corresponding to the light-receiving region; and a storage means which sequentially stores said data. |
