Method and device for determining mobile terminal capability, comprising: obtaining signaling of a signaling link on a Gb/IuPS interface; processing the obtained signaling after determining that the signaling is an attach request message or a routing area update request message, so as to obtain the corresponding transaction detail record (TDR) of the signaling; obtaining the mobile station network capability information of the mobile terminal from the TDR information, and determining the LTE capability of the mobile terminal according to the evolved packet core network capability field in the capability information. The technical solution obtains signaling on a Gb/IuPS interface, and obtains the mobile station network capability information in the signaling after determining that the signaling is an attach request message or a routing area update request message. By conducting transaction detail recording on the determination and processing of each signaling, the present invention counts mobile terminals having the LTE capability and obtains the statistical information on the mobile terminals in each cell. |
