The present invention relates to a water adsorption composition applicable for a dehumidifier or a water adsorption type chiller and a preparing method thereof and, in particular, to a hybrid composition of porous zeolite and metal chloride, and a technology regarding a preparing method thereof. The present invention, relating to a water adsorption composition, provides a zeolite-metal chloride hybrid water adsorption composition which comprises porous zeolite and metal chloride, wherein the porous zeolite is at least one zeolite selected from aluminophosphate-type zeolite, ferroaluminophosphate-type zeolite and silicoalumino-phosphate zeolite.
