The present invention provides an apparatus for the removal of medication units from a blister pack with at least one column of blisters protruding from the upper side and a rupturable covering sheet material on the underside. The apparatus comprises a platform comprising surfaces to support the underside of said blister pack on either side of said column of blisters, and a gap for medication units to be ejected through; and an ejection member configured to act on the upper side of the blister pack, to eject at least one unit of medication out of a blister and through the gap. In a preferred form, the ejection member at least partially protrudes into the gap, below the level of the surface of the platform during operation of ejecting a medication unit. |
