The present invention proposes a device 100 and method for managing policies and/or resources used for configuring one or more networks. The device 100 comprises a first interface 101 for connecting the device 100 to at least one network managing entity 110, 111, 112. A second interface 102 is provided for connecting the device 100 to a SDN, controller 120. The device 100 further includes an abstraction module 103 for receiving at least one policy and/or resource rule from each network management entity 110, 111, 112, and for abstracting the received policy and/or resource rules into a unified data model. The device 100 also has a logic module 104 for receiving frames from the SDN controller 120, for creating at least one network configuration rule based on the received frames and the unified data model, and for forwarding the at least one network configuration rule to the SDN controller 120. |
