PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coupling systems that are easy and safe to install and remove, are reliable in use, and enable substantial take up.SOLUTION: Components of a coupling assembly 400 include a wedge 350 and a spool 200 that pivots about a fulcrum when the wedge 350 is driven into the assembly for increased take up capabilities. The spool 200 is rotatably engaged around the fulcrum of a support structure and has a bearing portion 202 that bears and moves a wear member 106 to be secured to thereby take up any gaps between engaging surfaces of these members. A movable insert 250 may be provided to improve cooperation between the wedge 350 and the spool 200 to further increase the available take up. |
