<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor-unit snow protection unit capable of achieving both ensuring necessary heating capacity and the size reduction of the snow protection unit, and free from restrictions to installation location.SOLUTION: An outdoor-unit snow protection unit 1 comprises: a stand 10 for installing an outdoor unit 2; and a snow protection hood 20 including a top plate 21, a right side plate 22, a left side plate, and a back plate 24, an opening portion 25 being provided in the back plate 24 of the snow protection hood 20 for drawing in outdoor air, a height of the opening portion 25 and a distance between a back surface of the outdoor unit 2 and the back plate 24 satisfying all of the following expressions if it is assumed that an angle of snowfall in a region where the snow protection unit 1 for the outdoor unit is installed isα: distance between back surface of outdoor unit and back plate≥height of opening portion÷tan(α); distance between back surface of outdoor unit and back plate≥β÷height of opening portion; and height of opening portion≥height of outdoor unit÷3, whereβis a constant determined by the height of the outdoor unit 2.</p> |
