The invention relates to a fuel cell apparatus (1) comprising a fuel cell (2) which has a housing (7) and a diaphragm/electrode arrangement (6) which is arranged in said housing and has a cathode and an anode, comprising a cathode gas path (3) for transporting a cathode gas, which cathode gas path extends on the cathode side through the diaphragm/electrode arrangement (6), and comprising a flushing gas path (5) for transporting a flushing gas which flushes the housing (7) during operation, which flushing gas path extends through the housing (7). Provision is made for one section of the flushing gas path (5) to run through the cathode gas path (3). As a result, the fuel cell apparatus (1) has a compact construction which consists of few parts. |
