The present invention relates to a light emitting element package used for displaying or lighting, a backlight unit, and a method for manufacturing the light emitting element package. The present invention comprises: a lead frame having a first electrode installed on one side with reference to a first electrode separation space, a second electrode installed on the other side, and a third electrode installed to be spaced apart from the second electrode with a second electrode separation space between the second electrode and the third electrode; and an electricity blocking member for electrically interconnecting the second electrode and the third electrode of the lead frame and automatically blocking a current when an overcurrent or an overvoltage is applied.
