PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of improving the encoding efficiency in intra prediction.SOLUTION: When an optimum intra prediction mode is mode 0, adjacent pixels used for prediction of a target block are pixels A0, A1, A2 and A3. Pixels a-0.5 and a+0.5,... of 1/2 pixel accuracy are generated using the pixels and a FIR filter of 6 taps, and further pixels a-0.75, a-0.25, a+0.25 and a+0.75 of 1/4 pixel accuracy are generated by means of linear interpolation. A value of -0.75 to +0.75 which represents a phase difference between an integer pixel and the generated fractional pixel accuracy is determined as the optimum shift amount as a candidate of shift amount in a horizontal direction. The invention is applicable to, for example, image decoders for decoding data encoded according to H.264/AVC protocol. |
