PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of stably controlling reaction rate and selectivity of each batch when producing polychloropropane by a method of repeating a batch reaction.SOLUTION: The method is a continuous batch reaction method characterized in that: in an addition reaction for obtaining polychloropropane by adding carbon tetrachloride to ethylene or the like in a liquid phase reaction system, a batch method is performed by supplying ethylene or the like to a gas phase portion in a batch reactor in which a liquid phase and the gas phase are present; after completing the batch reaction, the reaction mixture liquid is discharged from the reactor; subsequently carbon tetrachloride and ethylene and the like are supplied to the reactor; and for the second batch and subsequent batches in the case that the addition reaction is repeated by the batch method, the total pressure of the gas phase portion is set at the total pressure of the desired partial pressure of the ethylene or the like and the partial pressure of the gas other than the ethylene or the like present in the gas phase portion so as to perform the addition reaction. |
