<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication device capable of authenticating an entering person with high precision to unlock during a natural human behavior such as coming in contact with a handle when a person opens a door to enter a room. <P>SOLUTION: An entering person authentication device 1 incorporated into an electric lock 20 which is opened/closed and locked/unlocked by a handle 3a. The entering person authentication device 1 comprises: an image photographing part 10 which is embedded in the handle 3a and detects start and end of gripping the handle 3a to photograph a palm print image during the gripping; and a control part 30 which obtains the photographed palm print image to collate the obtained photographed palm print image with a previously registered palm print image and controls unlocking of the electric lock 20 according to the result of the authentication result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
