<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute power-saving control by adapting to a change of a movement direction of a heat source approaching or passing the printer.SOLUTION: A printer transfers power consumption to a second power status lower than a first power status, calculates an average temperature of each region which is specified from a plurality of divided regions and includes a representative point, and specifies a present position of a heat source from the calculated average temperature of each region. Whether the heat source moves to pass the printer or not is determined from a change state of the specified present position. Whether the heat source approaches to operate the printer or not is determined from a change state of a distance between the specified present position and a predetermined reference point which is previously set. When it is determined that the heat source approaches to operate the printer, control of transferring the power consumption of the printer gradually from the second power status to the first power status is started in response to the calculated distance.</p> |
