<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that allows easier authentication for users, using images that the users can easily remember by intuition. <P>SOLUTION: In an authentication device 10, information on a combination of a base image and a decoration image is registered in a registered-information storage section 240. A base image display section 121 displays the base image on a touch panel 30. A base image selection receiving section 131 receives selection of a base image selected by a user to be authenticated. A decoration image display section 122 displays, on the touch panel 30, a decoration image that decorates the base image to be authenticated. A decoration image selection receiving section 132 receives selection of a decoration image selected by a user to be authenticated.
