PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering highly pure dicyclopentadiene from a reaction mixture of cyclopentadiene and maleic acid anhydride.SOLUTION: A recovery method of dicyclopentadiene has steps for: adding a conjugated diene into a mixture containing dicyclopentadiene and maleic acid anhydride so as to be reacted with the maleic acid anhydride and to generate a reaction mixture; distilling the reaction mixture so as to separate dicyclopentadiene from the reaction mixture.
