Provided are: a debris removal system capable of efficiently removing space debris of various sizes, including relatively large space debris; and a device for space use that is used in same. The device (100) for space use: comprises an attachment unit (110) that attaches to a target object present in outer space and a propulsion unit (120) for obtaining propulsive force; and transports the target object to a prescribed target position by being moved together with the target object by the propulsion unit (120) which is in a state in which the device (100) for space use is attached to the target object by the attachment unit (110). The debris removal system (1) comprises: a guidance control unit (300) that causes the device (100) for space use to approach the space debris and attaches the device (100) for space use to the space debris by using the attachment unit (110); and a propulsion control unit (230) that controls the propulsion unit (120) in the device (100) for space use, so as to move the device (100) for space use, together with the space debris, towards the atmosphere, by using the propulsion unit (120) in the device (100) for space use in a state in which the device (100) for space use is attached to the space debris.
