PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producingαβunsaturated carboxylic acid-N,N-disubstituted amide or 3-alkoxycarboxylic acid-N,N-disubstituted amide and further a compound as an intermediate thereof in a large amount at low cost.SOLUTION: There are provided: [1] a method for producing a carboxylic acid amide in which a carboxylic acid having a boiling point of 150°C or more and an amine having a boiling point of 90°C or less are reacted with each other using a counter current contact system; and [2] a method for producing 3-alkoxycarboxylic acid-N,N-disubstituted amide by using the carboxylic acid amide obtained by the production method as a raw material.
