<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device that can suppress the output of blank paper on which no image is printed.SOLUTION: An image processing control unit 330 that is a blank paper removal processing unit, in processing when receiving execution instructions of both blank paper removal processing and frame erasing processing, re-sets an overlapping area where a predetermined blank paper detection area BA is overlapped with a print area PA that is a predetermined effective image area as a new blank paper detection area BA(BA1), and takes the new blank paper detection area BA(BA1) after the re-setting as an object area of blank paper detection. When the image processing control unit 330 re-sets the new blank paper detection area BA(BA1), determines whether or not the new blank paper detection area BA(BA1) is blank and deletes image data of a document in which the new blank paper detection area BA(BA1) is blank.</p> |
