A support mechanism (144) for supporting a panel (142) has: a work machine-side support shaft (152) affixed to a work machine; a panel-side support shaft (154) affixed to the panel; a connection arm (150) held by the two support shafts so as to be capable of pivoting; a guide rail (170) formed on the work machine side; a bolt (172) moving along the guide rail; and a restriction arm (156) held by the panel-side support shaft so as to be capable of pivoting and mounted to the bolt. When the connection arm pivots, the pivoting of the connection arm and the angle of rotation of the panel are restricted by the restriction arm. Thus a panel device is provided, in which the display surface or the like of the panel can be maintained facing in a predetermined direction and is therefore easily visible during the movement of the panel.
