The present information relates to a method and an apparatus for transceiving downlink control information if a 256-state quadrature amplitude modulation (256QAM) is supported. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for transceiving downlink control information (DCI) comprising a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index for supporting 256QAM in addition to the three types of modulation methods previously utilized of quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK), 16-state quadrature amplitude modulation (16QAM) and 64-state quadrature amplitude modulation (64QAM). Particularly, provided are a method and an apparatus for a terminal for receiving downlink control information, the method comprising the steps of: transmitting, to a base station, channel state information comprising information for a measurement of the state of channel quality; receiving, from the base station, downlink control information comprising an MCS index value selected on the basis of the channel state information from a previously configured MCS index table comprising MCS index values corresponding to the 256QAM modulation method; and confirming the modulation information for the downlink information on the basis of the selected MCS index value. |
