The present invention relates to a light guide plate and a backlight unit including the same and, more specifically, to a light guide plate and a backlight unit including the same, the light guide plate comprising, on an upper side thereof, a prism pattern of which an upper vertex part has the form of an arc, wherein the prism pattern satisfies mathematical formula 1 such that emitted light has high linearity and brightness.
