This technology pertains to an imaging element, a control method, and an imaging device that make it possible to minimize decreases in image quality. The imaging element in this technology is provided with the following: a pixel array in which a pixel signal obtained by performing photoelectric conversion on incident light is read out from each of a plurality of pixels constituting said pixel array; an analog processing unit that obtains digital image data by performing signal processing on the aforementioned pixel signals, which are analog; a memory unit that stores said image data; a signal-processing unit that reads out the image data from the memory unit and performs signal processing thereon; and a control unit that controls processing execution timing and makes the timing with which the digital processing is executed such that the impact on the read-out processing and/or the analog processing is small. This technology can be applied, for example, to an imaging element or an electronic device. |
