PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to extend the service life of a photoreceptor, regardless of toner-image formation history.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a photoreceptor drum rotating around an axis and having a photosensitive layer which is formed on a surface and is worn due to use; charging means which charges the surface of the photoreceptor drum; exposure means which forms an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the photoreceptor drum; developing means which forms a toner image on the surface of the photoreceptor drum; and a control circuit. The control circuit acquires film thickness of the photosensitive layer at each of different axial positions in the photoreceptor drum, and executes wear operation in a first axial position in the photosensitive layer (S011), when a difference in film thickness between the predetermined first axial position and a second axial position exceeds a predetermined reference value (Yes in S06). |
