<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic sensor capable of accurately detecting longitudinal and traverse magnetic fields.SOLUTION: A drive current generator circuit 31 supplies drive current to a first Hall element 33a and second Hall element 33b. A chopper switching circuit 37 provides a chopper drive by switching between input and output terminals for supplying the drive current to the first and second Hall elements. An adder circuit 34 adds output of the first Hall element and output second Hall element. A voltage comparator circuit 35 compares a threshold voltage generated by a threshold generation circuit 36 and an output voltage of the adder circuit 34. Input terminal switching of the first Hall element for supplying the drive current is done in synchronization with switching between a longitudinal magnetic field detection period, for detecting a longitudinal magnetic field component entering a magnetic collection plate, and a transverse magnetic field detection period for detecting a transverse magnetic field component, and switching for the second Hall element is made to reverse the direction of the drive current.</p> |
