PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endogenous glutathion promoter in which treatment and prevention of various diseases caused by oxidation stress can be expected, since the glutathion amount in a living body can be enhanced, and a method for producing the endogenous glutathion promoter.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the endogenous glutathion promoter which contains a protein hydrolysate derived from rice bran or rice as an active ingredient. The present invention also relates to the method for producing the endogenous glutathion promoter that decomposes a protein derived from rice bran or rice, which is extracted from rice using an alkaline solution, using a proteolytic enzyme derived from Aspergillus oryzae.
