A novel back support is provided on the basis of a human engineering viewpoint in order to fit an object for contact to a human body. A back support (1) is attached to a back plate (21) of an object for contact, e.g., a satchel. The back support has a framework provided so as to form a frame (12) and a plurality of small divisions (15) within the frame (12). An upper part (12a) of the frame (12) recedes rearward (toward the object), a lower part (12b) of the frame bulges forward (toward the human body), and a lowest part (12c) of the frame recedes again rearward, forming an overall vertical cross-section of the frame into the shape of an S. The framework preferably comprises a plurality of cross bars (13) extending horizontally and at least one vertical bar (14) extending vertically. |
