INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR 6LOWPAN EXTENSION FIELD

An information processing method and system for an extended 6lowpan field are disclosed. The method includes: when a case of context information updating occurs in the extended 6lowpan field, triggering a multi-source synchronization mechanism, so as to accomplish a synchronization between context value information and time among a plurality of border routes; and at least one border route distributing the updated context information within the extended 6lowpan field. The information processing method for the extended 6lowpan field proposed in the embodiments of the present invention is completely based on the neighbor discovery protocol standard draft proposed by the IETF organization, which has stronger feasibility and extensive applicability; moreover, it can solve the problem of how to ensure the consistency of released context information in a case that there are a plurality of border routes within the extended 6lowpan field.
