<p>An electrical generator 11 is driven by rocking of a pivoted lever 9 which is caused by gas pressure supplied to pneumatic cylinders 1. The rocking lever 9 drives a generator 11, possibly via a gear box and one-way ratchet mechanism. The lever carries a weight 3, and a counterweight 17 via cable 19. A pneumatic cylinder 6 at the end of the lever 9 reverses the direction of movement when it strikes a striking plate 8. Instead of pneumatic input to cylinder 1, the system may be powered by force input to cable 19. The system is adaptable to harness a multitude of energy inputs, such as water, gas, thermal expansion, chemical reactions or algae.</p> |
