The invention is a domestic oven (1) having at least one cooking chamber (12) encircled by an outer body (10); a door (20) providing access to the cooking chamber (12) in an open position; and a lock mechanism (40) providing locking of said door (20) in a closed position. The lock mechanism (40) of the domestic oven (1) comprises a bearing piece (43) placed to a groove (211) formed on an outer wall (21) of the door (20); and a locking lever (44) hinged to the bearing piece (43) through a bearing opening (431) so as to stay at an inner side (213) of the outer wall (21).
