<p>The present invention relates to a valve (1) for internal combustion engines, composed by a head 10, a seat region 2, a neck region 3, a rod 4 and a tip 5 of the valve 1, wherein a metallic tungsten matrix containing tungsten nanocarbides WC, W2C, W3C, W12C or a mixture thereof is applied to at least a portion of the valve (1), the coating having thickness ranging from 5 µm to 150µm, hardness between 500HV and 3500HV and is applied by the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process.</p> |
