The present invention relates to a stereo matching method and apparatus. According to the present invention, the apparatus determines a plurality of reference blocks to be simultaneously matched and calculated in a reference image, determines a plurality of matching blocks to be matched and calculated with each reference block of the reference blocks in a comparison image, and simultaneously performs matching and calculation with the matching blocks corresponding to the reference blocks, respectively.
