<p>The method involves cooling a cold medium (12) by liquid nitrogen (61). A cold carrier (22) is cooled by the cold medium, where the cold carrier is provided with a ground mass (100) through a heat exchange unit to remove heat. Ethanol, butane, isobutane or propane are utilized as the cold medium. Brine, a synthetic salt solution or a water glycol mixture are utilized as the cold carrier. The cold carrier is introduced in the ground mass through a vessel wall (51), where cold transmission takes place from the cold carrier into the ground mass by the vessel wall.
