MASSIVE MIMO SYSTEM AND METHOD OF TRANSCEIVING USING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) system in a single cellular system and a limited feedback system and a transmitting or receiving method thereof and, more specifically, to a massive MIMO system comprising a transmission end having multiple transmission antennas and a reception end communicating with the transmission end, wherein the reception end and the transmission end share information on groups falling in different ranges of the transmission antennas and information on a mode where groups having the same number of the transmission antennas simultaneously operate; the reception end uses a codebook corresponding to each of the groups to calculate SINR for a group and a codeword, and generates feedback information based on the calculation to provide the information to the transmission end; the transmission end uses the feedback information to calculate the sum-rate of all groups belonging to the mode for a codeword at each mode and selects a set of reception ends corresponding to the largest sum-rate among the sum-rates and a mode, thereby providing an optimal communication environment without any performance degradation in all SINR.
