1. A face mask to cover a user's nose and at least partially cover a user's mouth and configured to deliver oxygen to a user, the face mask comprising:
a reservoir adapted to contain a pocket of gas; an inlet port configured to deliver gas to the reservoir; a first lateral sampling port at the center of the first vent and a second lateral sampling port at the center of the second vent, each of the first and second sampling ports extending through the mask to be in fluid communication with the reservoir and configured to sample the pocket of gas within the reservoir; and a connector on at least one of the first and second lateral sampling ports, the connector configured to connect to a conduit.
