CARBON FIXATION METHOD IN MEDIUM OF MICROALGAE USING SODIUM HYDROXIDE AND CARBON DIOXIDE AND MICROALGAE CULTIVATION METHOD USING THEM

The present invention relates to a method for fixing carbon in a medium for microalgae by using sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and carbon dioxide (CO_2), and to a method for cultivating microalgae by using the same. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: pre-treating a medium for microalgae with NaOH and providing CO_2 to fix the same in a form of NaHCO_3 or Na_2CO_3; and inoculating and then cultivating microalgae in a medium where CO_2 is fixed and carbonic acid is provided as a nutrient source. According to the present invention, NaOH is used to control the medium to pH 13, thereby allowing chemical sterilization. Carbon dioxide gas, an inorganic carbon source is supplied to the medium to fix carbon, thereby allowing the production of microalgae and cyanobacteria in the sterilized medium. In addition, microalgae are cultivated through chemical fixation of CO_2, thereby allowing better efficiency than the process of biological fixation of CO_2 occurring in a direct microalgae cultivation process.
