1. A transmission apparatus comprising:
a reception port configured to receive a frame; a demultiplexer configured to demultiplex the received frame into an overhead and a payload; an identifier configured to identify whether a DCC (Data Communication Channel) signal included in the demultiplexed overhead is an IP packet or an OSI (Open System Interconnection) packet; a packet terminator configured to terminate a packet; a determiner configured to determine whether to pass through or to terminate the DCC signal included in the demultiplexed overhead; and a transmission port configured to transmit the DCC signal determined to be passed through, wherein whether or not to terminate the DCC signal is set for the reception port, the determiner determines whether to pass through or to terminate the DCC signal included in the demultiplexed overhead based on the setting for the reception port and transmits the DCC signal determined to be terminated to the packet terminator, and the identifier transmits the IP packet to the packet terminator when the DCC signal is identified to be an IP packet.
