Provided are a system and a method for encrypting a file system structure in a device. The device controls access to the file system structure including reference information with respect to at least one file and includes: a communication unit which provides a request for generating an encryption key with respect to the file system structure including identification information of at least one file system structure in the device and authentication data used to authenticate access of a user to the file system structure and receives, from a sever, a generated encryption key with respect to the file system structure by responding to the request for generating the encryption key; and a control unit which authenticates the access of the user to the file system structure by using the received encryption key. |
