METHOD FOR PREPARING POWDERS OR FILMS OF TRANSPARENT CONDUCTIVE OXIDES.

The present invention describes a method for obtaining transparent stable colloidal solutions for preparing powders and/or films of transparent conductive oxides. The powders prepared from the transparent stable colloidal solutions of the present invention are characterized in that they have a particle size lower than 10 nm and an electric conductivity in the order of 104 S cm. The films prepared from these solutions exhibit an optic transparency within the visible spectrum of light higher than 87% and 97%. The films of transparent conductive oxides prepared from the colloidal solutions of the present invention are characterized in that they have an electric resistivity ranging from 10-2 and 10-3 O cm. The film and/or powder prepared from the colloidal solutions of the invention may be used in applications of catalysis, photoelectrocatalysis or electrolyte in solutions used in solar cells, electrochemical cells or solutions for conducting electricity.
