The present invention relates to a method for monitoring cooling water from penetrating through a generator by measuring an amount of hydrogen gases for cooling a rotor leaked to the cooling water for cooling a stator in the generator which is operated. An apparatus for measuring the amount of hydrogen gases leaked to the cooling water of the stator of the generator according to the present invention includes an adapter (11), a filter (13a,13b) which removes materials of liquid or solid particles, a pump (14) which sucks sample gases, a 3-way valve (15a,15b), an automatic flow controller (19a,19b,19c) which constantly controls the flow of the sample gases or air, a flow indicator (16) which displays the flow of the sample gases, an electrochemical sensor (17) which measures the concentration of the hydrogen gas among the sample gases, and a controller (22). |
