Technologies for transmitter equalization in a communications system comprise reading local transmitter equalization settings from a transmitter equalization register of a first communications device, and writing the local transmitter equalization settings on a transmitter equalization register of a second communications device communicably coupled with the first communications device through chip-to-chip communications link. Additionally, the requested transmitter equalization settings are read from the transmitter equalization register of the second communications device, and written on the transmitter equalization register of the first communications device. The reading and writing processes can be repeated for an opposite communications direction and for other communications lane interfaces of the first and second communications devices. |
