<p>The method involves braking down rotation of one of inking rollers e.g. ink form rollers (30) and idle transfer rollers (36) quickly than that of a plate cylinder (12) during a stopping stage of a printing unit, where the cylinder and the rollers are driven separately using respective motors (38, 40). The inking rollers are set in rotation relative to that of the cylinder, and the rollers are accelerated in rotation in a faster manner than that the cylinder during a restarting stage of the unit. One of the inking rollers is kept stationary during an interruption stage of the unit. An independent claim is also included for a rotary press.</p> |
