1. A rapid-toasting toaster for toasting a food product, said toaster comprising:
a housing comprising at least one slot configured to receive the food product; and a heating box disposed within said housing, said heating box comprising:
at least one basket disposed generally underneath said at least one slot, said basket configured to retain the food product;a heating unit disposed adjacent said at least one basket, said heating unit is configured to radiate heat from a side facing said at least one basket; anda filament supported by said heating unit, said filament comprising a wire having a resistance rating less than about 12 ohms/m, said filament being configured in a pattern including at least two windings that are spaced apart a distance less than about 6 mm. |
