The present invention relates to a method for storing an image of a vehicle black box, comprising: an image input step for inputting an image through a camera module; a temporary storage step for, if an event occurrence is not detected from the image inputted in the image input step, temporarily storing the inputted image in a temporarily processing unit, which consumes relatively low power, and allowing an event processing unit, which consumes relatively high power, to be in a sleep state or a power-off state; and an event storage step for, if an event occurrence is detected in the image inputted in the image input step after the temporary storage step, allowing the event processing unit to be returned from the sleep state or the power-off state and storing in the event processing unit an image for the event from the time of the event occurrence up until before a predetermined time and from the time of the event occurrence up until after a predetermined time. According to the method for storing an image of a vehicle black box of the present invention, an event processing unit, which consumes relatively high power, is configured to be in a sleep state or a power-off state when an event does not occur in a parking mode of a vehicle black box, and a temporary processing unit, which consumes relatively low power, is separately configured so that an image before occurrence of an event can be stored. Therefore, the present invention has an effect of conserving power consumed by a vehicle black box. |
