In the present invention, a high luminance virtual image for an alert, such as a dot pattern, is formed by projecting the light of a display-use light source from below an instrument panel (21) and reflecting such light off of a window glass (22) or the like. Provided is a front and rear direction movable mechanism that moves the position at which the light of the light source is projected toward a windshield or the like in the front and rear direction of the vehicle travel direction. In a case where a detected person or the like has come close to a region in which the alert display can be formed, the display is lit. The display position is controlled so that the position of the formed alert display comes close to the detected person. |
