The invention relates to a device for sliding gear coupling of an idler gear onto a gearbox shaft. Said device includes: a hub (1) attached onto the shaft of the idler gear; a clutch gear (2) secured to the idler gear; and a sliding gear sleeve (3) moved by the internal speed control of the gearbox, such as to mechanically connect the shaft and the idler gear rotatably when engaging a gear. Said device is characterized in that the hub (1) has, on the periphery thereof, axial notches (1b) holding keys (4) that switch from one side to the other from a central neutral position via the axial thrust of the sliding gear (3) such as to be inserted between the teeth (2a) of the clutch gear (2) when engaging a speed, such as to transmit the torque between the gearbox shaft and the idler gear on the engaged gear. |
